About the Run
Enjoy the charm of historic Ravenswood at the 14th annual Ravenswood Run! Experience a top-notch event with a community feel.  This unique 5K is
truly a neighborhood race, running through scenic city streets, and benefiting two local charities.  

Race Charity
The proceeds from the Ravenswood Run benefit the Ravenswood Community Services Food Pantry at All Saints' Episcopal Church and the Student Health Centers at Lakeview and Amundsen High Schools.

Training Program
Looking for a group to help you train for the Ravenswood Run? Contact Chicago Endurance Sports to learn about spring training programs including the Learn to Run training program which kicks off at Fleet Feet Sports - Piper's Alley on February 9th at 6pm.

Entry Limit
The Ravenswood Run is limited to a maximum of 3500 entrants. Registration for the event will close once the limit has been reached. Race day registration may not be available.

  • $30 before 4/19/10; $35 race week 4/19/10 - 4/25/10 (if available)
  • All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable

Hunger Is Here - You Can Help
Ravenswood Community Services provides groceries, meals and more to neighbors throughout Ravenswood and surrounding neighborhoods. Your participation in the Ravenswood Run directly supports the work of the organization. You can also help by participating in the food drive and by making monetary donations.

Bring a food item with you when you pick-up your packet at Fleet Feet Sports or on race day. If you choose to make a monetary donation you can do so during online registration or at packet pick-up. Thanks for your extra effort and support!

Shirt and Goody Bag
All registered participants will receive a goody bag and Mizuno DRYSCIENCE tech shirt designed exclusively for the Ravenswood Run! These are short-sleeve, unisex-sized technical shirts and are available in XS - XXL. Please select carefully as shirt sizes and quantities are fixed and we are unable to exchange shirt sizes.


Timing
The Ravenswood Run is using the latest in race timing technology, the Chronotrack Timing System.  Timing devices will be distributed at Packet Pick-Up.

Transportation and Parking
Help us reduce our carbon footprint! Fleet Feet Sports highly recommends carpooling, using public transportation, or riding your bicycle to the event.

To determine the best route to travel via public transportation, please visit the CTA's trip planner (http://tripsweb.rtachicago.com/ ).

Bicycle parking will be available at the race site near the start/finish area.

Limited street parking is available along Ravenswood Ave. between Addison St. and Foster Ave. and the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Clinic Parking Lots located at Wilson and Ravenswood. There is additional race parking at the Sears parking lot at 1824 W. Lawrence Ave.


Awards

  • Age group awards will be given to the top three finishers in each of the following age divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over.
  • Awards presentation to begin at approximately 9:15am.

Results

Results will be posted on www.FleetFeetChicago.com and www.mychicagoathlete.com by 4pm on race day.

Weather Policy
The Ravenswood Run  will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made race day at the race site. The event will not be canceled in advance.  All decisions regarding cancellation will be made on site, race day.
