Meet two-time Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein on
Saturday! The
marathoner will be signing autographs, posing for
photos, and answering all your burning questions
about the marathon.
Ritzenhein finished second at the Olympic Trials in
New York City last fall, then was the top American
finisher in the mens marathon in Beijing, placing
ninth. He joins us courtesy of Nike.
Win a free pair of shoes! Look for the Fleet
Feet Sports/Nike billboard (which is located
somewhere on the marathon course). If you find it
(running, in your car, walking your dog, etc), Email us the location along with
your name and youll be entered into a raffle to win a
free pair of shoes.

Cournane, named by ABC7 News as Someone
You Should Know, will talk you through realizing
your dream.
Cournane has coached runners in the Chicago area
since 1996, assisting thousands of runners,
run/walkers and walkers of all ability and skill levels
achieve their goals of successfully completing the
marathon.
He has achieved the goal of completing a marathon in
each of the 50 States plus the District of Columbia
and has run endurance events in Europe, South
America and Antarctica. Cournane is the Head
Running Coach for Chicago Endurance Sports.

No tricks, just treats at the 21st annual Trick Or Treat
Trot! The run offers fun for ghouls and goblins of all
ages, with 5K and 10K Runs, a 5K Walk and the
Potbellys Monster Mash Junior Dash.
5K and 10K participants receive a goody bag, post
race treats and a long-
sleeve technical shirt. Monster Mash Dashers receive
a goody bag,
post race treats and a cotton long sleeve shirt.
The Trick or Treat Trot benefits Chicagos La Rabida
Childrens Hospital. Through their holistic approach to
care, La Rabida addresses the psychological and
emotional needs of patients with chronic illnesses
and disabilities while addressing their medical needs.

Dont miss out -- register now for the Pumpkins In the
Park 5K! This annual event is a fun, unique way to
spend a fall afternoon. The races and post-race party
(featuring costume contests, trick-or-treating, pumpkin
decorating and more), are sure to delight kids of all
ages, and the race is a bargain when you register in
advance.
For $25 ($30 race day, if available), 5K participants will
receive a Brooks Podium technical shirt (retail value
$24) and goody bag. Spooky Sprinters will get a cotton
t-shirt, kids-only goody bag, and a medal for just
$10.
